With over 25 years of playing experience and 20 years of dedicated coaching, Matt Dawson brings a wealth of practical knowledge and specialised training to help wicketkeeper's excel.
As a High-Performance Level 3 qualified coach, Matt has coached elite and professional players worldwide. He is one of only 10 wicketkeepers to have taken over 100 victims for Cheshire CCC and has competed up to county second XI level, as well as 25 years in high-level league cricket within the Lancashire leagues and abroad in Australia.
The TCA Wicket Keeping Academy, led by our Director of Cricket, Matt Dawson, provides specialised, high-level coaching exclusively for aspiring wicket keepers. Addressing gaps in traditional pathway setups and academies, available both at The Cricket Asylum facility or on site at clubs, schools and academies, this programme is designed to deliver the focused training and expertise required for this critical role. Matt brings extensive knowledge and a proven track record in wicket-keeping.
