Chris Schofield has played first class cricket for Lancashire CCC and Surrey CCC and international cricket for England as a leg spinning all rounder. Still doing the business at 39 years old, he has signed as professional for Todmorden CC in the Lancashire League for the 2018 season. Chris is one of very few players who after playing test cricket for England, fell out of the first class game back to minor counties and league Cricket, to then fight his way back to the top with Surrey and then England in the t20 world cup! A story of true mental strength and desire that he passes onto his players at TCA.
BIO: I first got into cricket when I was 10. Watching my dad play club cricket, I starting scoring and picking up the rules of game. I then went down to Littleborough CC and starting playing junior cricket and things went on from there. I’ve taken up coaching , to give something back to game I love. Giving my knowledge and experience to up and coming cricketers who hopefully will go on to play county cricket and even represent there country.
