At The Cricket Asylum we believe in delivering fun and inclusive cricket sessions to primary schools. It’s something we’ve done ever since we started in 2012.
Our full time professional coaches deliver a program that has been specifically designed to cater for large class sizes, centres around the pupil’s enjoyment and development, and meets the Key Stage 1 & 2 requirements of the National Curriculum.
It’s a program that has gained plaudits from pupils, schools, parents and cricket clubs across the North of England.
Cricket is a unique sport in that it requires participants to work as individuals within a team environment. Behaviour codes are written as part of the rules of the game under the ‘Spirit of Cricket’ and as such it teaches many life skills and can have a positive impact on a child’s all round development.
The sessions were excellent and the children thoroughly enjoyed them. The coach was outstanding, and we will definitely use the service again.
Mike Seager, Carr Green Primary School

All pupils involved in the coaching will have the opportunity to develop their cricketing skills and will be directed to suitable friendly local cricket clubs by the coaches and through flyers to take home to parents.
This is the 3rd year I have worked with Scott and The Cricket Asylum (1 year at Ash Green and 2 years at Hamer). The sessions are engaging and exciting for the children and their skill level has increased year upon year. This wouldn’t be possible without such an inspiring coach who has the support of a great organisation
